GFTx partners with Rizhao Steel for GGBFS and blast furnace slag
GlobalFund Trading Xchange (GFTx) has partnered with Rizhao Steel in Shandong Province, China, to supply ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) and granulated blast furnace slag to cement and concrete producers.
GlobalFund Trading Xchange (GFTx) has partnered with Rizhao Steel, a steel producer in Rizhao, Shandong Province, China. The partnership adds two by-products of iron making to the GFTx construction range: ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) of type S95 and granulated blast furnace slag.
GGBFS S95: CE-certified and registered under REACH
- Use: a type II addition for concrete, including site-mixed concrete and precast elements, and for mortar and grout (EN 206+A1).
- CE marking: certificate of constancy of performance No. 1020-CPR-040081372 to EN 15167-1 under system 1+, issued by notified body 1020, the Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague (TZÚS).
- Test results: in the TZÚS test of November 2025, an activity index of 98.4 % at 7 days and 113.1 % at 28 days, against minimums of 45 % and 70 %, and a specific surface of 420 m²/kg.
- REACH: registered as slags, ferrous metal, blast furnace (EC 266-002-0, CAS 65996-69-2) through an EU only representative, valid until 31 December 2026.
The certified GGBFS is manufactured by Rizhao Jinghua New-Type Building Materials Co., Ltd. in Rizhao, as named on the CE certificate and the test reports.
Granulated blast furnace slag
Unground granulated blast furnace slag, the raw material for cement production and slag grinding, is also available. Its grade and quantity are quoted per order.
